Claudine H. Weber March 29, 1917-March 2, 2001

Claudine H. Weber, 83, Veedersburg, died 10:15 p.m., Mar. 2, in Waters of Covington Nursing Home. Mrs. Weber worked for R.M.C., Attica, for 20 years, and for Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, as a respiratory therapist, retiring after 11 years. She was a volunteer for the Helping Hands program at Waters of Covington. She was a member of Stonebluff United Methodist Church and was active with the children's Bible study group. She was born March 29, 1917, at Newtown, to Luke and Georgia Fleming Furr. She married John D. Weber on June 15, 1935, at Veedersburg. He died in 1991. Survivors include two sons, Larry, Veedersburg, and Robert, Attica; two daughters, Martha Hartle, Veedersburg, and Lois Devrise, Lafayette; three brothers, Donald Furr, Covington, William Furr, Waynetown, and Eugene, Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Catherine Keller, Lafayette, Margaret Austin, Mellot, and Florence Epperson, Auburndale, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m., Mar. 5, in Stonebluff United Methodist Church, with Paul Ziebart and Stan Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown. Dickerson Funeral Home, 303 N. Main St., Veedersburg, is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
